To be honest I'm still not sure how I feel about AI art. I've not allowed 3D modelled art into the group either as I wanted to focus on art created with a drawn or painted with a pencil, paint brush or digital stylus.
I think there will come a time that I will need to review this as AI art is here to stay.
After looking at how DA has handled things, I'm leaning towards the idea that groups on DA should ban AI generated content. The niche I work on is relatively harmless, and there's room for skilled artists who use AI as part of their creative process. There's nothing wrong with people using AI to explore their own creativity. But seeing a wave of new accounts pretending to be digital artists and making a grab for cash pisses me off. One shameless prick even uses "trending on DeviantArt" in their prompts. DA doesn't care as long as people are spending money, but the communities that exist here should be about actual artists, because you're the ones who made this space what it is.
I'm good and welcome to you!
